I’m making my usual New Year’s Resolution – not to make any resolutions! I gave up the must lose weight, must exercise, must save money, must detox routine about five years ago and now, for me, every January is a time to reflect on the past year, and look forward to a new one. Not for me the whole self-flagellation of joining a diet club or giving up my daily coffee because I need to sort out my overdraft (oops).
I have been thinking about ideas for what I can do this year – three things were ticked off of my list last year; have my picture taken with a celeb (Gok Wan), take my mum to a spa (Lifehouse) and dye my hair purple (well, half purple, at Uppercuts in Brentwood). I’m
thinking I want to try something that challenges me a bit – maybe I’ll start writing my book; take up a Zumba class or work out in the park; sign up for Race for Life; maybe even take driving lessons again? Who knows.
This time last year, I had never heard of Inspired, and now it’s a huge part of my life. I’m thoroughly enjoying writing the magazine, working with the great people I’ve met since I started, and coming up with fun ideas. So I was inspired to create a ‘feelgood’ issue of the magazine – complete with fashion forecasts for boys and girls, and discounts on lovely, lovely spa trips to great places like Lifehouse
in Thorpe-le-Soken and Ragdale Hall.
If you fancy going down the weight loss route, we’ve got a deal for you with Thinking
Slimmer – the Slimpods everyone’s talking about that are predicted to be the next big thing in getting slim without – well – actually having to do anything.
Feel good with our inspirational people, our guide to surviving the lack of sunlight, and more.
That’s got to be better than ‘eat crisp breads and don’t go out for the whole of January’ hasn’t it?
All the best Sarah
