THE public’s views are being sought on a draft development brief, published this week, looking at the possibility of redeveloping the St Peter’s Hospital site in Maldon.
NHS Mid Essex is exploring the options for providing a new community hospital to provide 21st century healthcare facilities for the local population.
A draft development brief and supporting document have been published to explain the basis for any future planning application for a new healthcare facility. The proposals include the continuing use of some of the existing buildings at St Peter’s together with a new build development.
The public has until 2 April 2012 to comment on the information. Public exhibitions will be held at the following times and locations:
• Monday March 19, noon-6pm, Maldon Town Hall, Market Hill, Maldon, CM9 4RL
• Wednesday March 21, 2-8pm, Club Woodham, Baron Road, South Woodham Ferrers, CM3 5XQ
• Saturday March 24, 9.30am-1pm, Maldon Town Hall, Market Hill, Maldon, CM9 4RL
• Wednesday March 28, 2-8pm, Burnham Town Council, Chapel Road, Burnham, CM0 8AD.
