Grannies racing each other in motorised shopping trolleys, a nun playing a moving piano and giant insects on stilts – just a few of the weird sights you can expect on Southend seafront this weekend as Adventure Island enjoys a fun-filled Wacky Weekend this coming Saturday and Sunday.
If you’re looking for ideas for a fun day out, why not take the whole family to Adventure Island for a wealth of FREE entertainment throughout the park; including including Bugbeez Stilt Walkers, the hilarious Granny Turismo and Musical Ruth, plus stage shows from the jaw dropping Bedlam Oz.
Roving face painters and balloon modellers, plus loads of giveaways all add up to a perfect day out for all the family.
Wacky Weekend is the second in a series of themed weekends taking place throughout summer and autumn at the UK’s Number 1 free admission fun park (the first was St George’s Weekend, 21/22 April 2012).
Adventure Island Head of PR & Marketing Gemma Warrilow says: “We are constantly striving to give people fun new reasons to visit Adventure Island, and these free events are a key part of our commitment to do just that. Wacky Weekend is a superb opportunity for visitors to come to Southend and love the fun – and because admission is free, you don’t have to pay a penny to watch all the very unusual entertainers we’ve lined up.”
